漁農自然護理署自2017年底起，便舉行公眾教育活動推廣 –「自己垃圾自己帶走」。透過移除山徑上的垃圾桶，鼓勵行山人士習慣自己把垃圾帶落山。遺留於山徑上的垃圾除了嚴重影響環境衛生，同時污染野生動物棲息地，令其誤食垃圾而導致死亡。有見及此，多個民間組織，不定期自發舉行清徑活動，推廣行山活動時要源頭減廢。除了「自己垃圾自己帶走」外，喇叭仔亦鼓勵大家與同朋友和家人自發，一邊行山一邊清理山徑，身體力行地宣傳自己垃圾自己帶走，一齊保持山徑清潔。

14吋火夾 – 方便伸入草叢，夾出較難觸及的垃圾

垃圾袋 – 避免製造不必要的垃圾，可預備已經用過的大袋（例如：米袋、廁紙袋、舊膠袋等）

急救包 – 行山必備，遇突發意外時，需要急救用品正確處理傷口以防止感染。
行山，最重要是要記得出發前做足準備！除了時刻留意天氣及自己的體能狀況，更要預先了解清楚前往的山徑難度，切忌單獨前行。下次行山時，可以準備執垃圾裝備，實踐山野無痕，也希望大家可以安全享受行山樂時，進一步用行動來守護郊野。
Note from “Megaphone” – The must-haves for trail clean-up
Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (“AFCD”) launched the public education programme “Take Your Litter Home” in late 2017. Country park visitors are encouraged to carry their own trash out of country parks. As part of the campaign, AFCD removed all rubbish bins on the hiking trails to encourage behavioral change of hikers.
Rubbish left on the trails not only create hygiene concerns but also contaminates the natural habitat of wildlife and threatens wild animals’ life if ingested. In recent years, many organisations arranged trail clean-up events to tackle the problems and promote “reduce waste at source” to the public.
Megaphone encourages hikers don’t just ‘take your little home’, but take one step further to keep our country parks clean by picking up trash that you come across when hiking.

Rubbish bag: used carrier bags (e.g. packaging bags for toilet paper rolls) can be reused to avoid unnecessary wastes

First aid kit: essential for hiking, first aid materials are always needed for unexpected accidents
