Project Intern and App Development and Data Analysis Intern
TrailWatch is an innovative mobile app and a programme to promote protection and appreciation of country parks in Hong Kong. We now invite students to apply for our 2019 summer internship programme. As an intern of TrailWatch, you will gain valuable experience from working closely with our dynamic team. This role is particularly suitable to those who enjoys outdoor activities and natural wonders of Hong Kong. And students who are interested in topics related to country parks, land use and nature conservation. We are currently looking two roles for our internship program – 1. Project Intern; 2. App Development and Data Analysis.

Responsibilities:

Project Intern
-
Conduct research in areas relevant to our fields of study about HK country parks
-
Assist in designing, monitoring and executing projects, campaigns or events
-
Assist in communications, including social media campaigns and preparation of monthly newsletter
-
Support administrative tasks, such as meeting minutes, translation and carry out other documentation practices

App Development and Data Analysis Intern

Assist in website & app maintenance and revamp, including organising focus group discussions and survey with existing users
-
Assist in analysis of user data to understand the usage of country parks and user habits
-
Support administrative tasks, such as meeting minutes, translation and carry out other documentation practices

Desired Skills & Experience:
-
Undergraduate or Postgraduate students from following majors are welcome:
-
Science, Ecology, Environmental Sciences or other related majors
-
Journalism, Media, Communications, Translation, History or other related majors
-
Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or other related majors
-

Proficiency in written English and Chinese, fluent in Cantonese
-
Detail-minded, organized, energetic, proactive and fast learning
-
Hands-on experience with MS Office application software and Google G-Suite environment
-
Willing to work outdoors on some weekends and public holidays
-
Basic understanding of biodiversity and environmental issues
-
Passion for hiking and environmental protection
Internship details:
-
Summer semester: July – August 2019 ( 6-8 week internship programme)

At least 3 days a week

Interns will be provided a stipend during the internship period
