飼食其力 Let the Wild Boars Stay Wild

野豬問題引起唔同嘅爭議，其實尋根究底，都係源於人類餵飼開始。其實大自然有自己嘅運作，減少介入，就係最好嘅態度。實踐無痕山林，共同建立人類與野豬和諧共處的大自然。
Wild boars have attracted much attention of the general public recently. Nature is the home of wild boars and other animals and “Megaphone” is calling everyone to respect the wildlife. Illegal feeding is prohibited and wild animals should not be disturbed. Let’s Leave No Trace and build a harmonious environment for both humans and wild animals.

近年關於野豬的消息頻頻出現於新聞上，牠們不止在郊野出沒，亦會在香港各區見其蹤影。漁農自然護理署剛在四月公佈，三月進行了連串打擊非法餵飼野豬等野生動物的特別行動，在禁餵區成功阻截十二宗非法餵飼野生動物個案。 同時呼籲市民不要餵飼野生動物。喇叭仔想同大家講：「不如比佢地用返自己本能覓食啦」。

  • 胡亂餵飼會令野豬失去原始覓食能力，也會改變牠們的生活習性

  • 人類食物有可能含對動物有害的成分，例如：防腐劑、化學成份或大量油分等

  • 餵飼行為破壞生態平衡，同時影響環境衞生

  • 餵飼野豬令牠們依賴人類餵食，容易產生滋擾等問題

  • 在禁餵區內餵飼野生動物，有機會觸犯《 野生動物保護條例 》

大自然是動物的家，喇叭仔希望喚起大家對尊重野生動物的理念與實踐。千萬不要餵食，更加不應該騷擾或觸摸野生動物。記得收好食物，垃圾亦要妥善包好，以免廚餘氣味吸引野生動物。實踐無痕山林，共同建立人類與野豬和諧共處的大自然。

 

Wild boars have attracted much attention of the general public recently. These wild animals were found not only in the woods, more of them are venturing into the city. The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) announced that they conducted a series of special operations to combat illegal feeding of wild animals, including wild boars. The operations in March successfully stopped 12 cases of illegal feeding of wild animals in Feeding Ban Areas of the AFCD. Meanwhile, the AFCD urged the public refrain from feeding wild animals.

Megaphone also would like to remind all TrailWatch users “Let the wild boars stay wild”. The animal is capable of hunting for food in nature without human interference.

  • Illegal feeding of wild boars may cause the animals to lose their ability to look for food in nature and alter their natural behaviours

  • Some human foods may contain harmful ingredients to animals, such as preservatives, chemicals, excessive oils, etc.

  • Feeding of wild animals may disturb the ecosystem and causes hygiene problems

  • Overtime wild animals will become reliant on human feeding and lead to more disturbances to our city

  • Under the Wild Animals Protection Ordinance (Cap. 170), feeding any wild animals in Feeding Ban Areas of AFCD will be liable to prosecution

Nature is the home of animals and “Megaphone” is calling everyone to respect wildlife. Remember to keep the food properly out of easy reach of animals and take the rubbish with you when you are in the nature. Let’s Leave No Trace in our countryside and build a harmonious environment for both humans and wild animals.
